A woman who once described her figure as a “Mike Wazowski body” has shared how she changed her shape without using weight loss injections.
Christina said she used to have a stomach that was “bigger than her bum,” and even basic workouts would leave her breathless.
Posting on her @plussizegymbestie account, she said: “I barely had a neck.
“My face was always inflamed.”
After repeatedly cycling through extreme healthy phases before binge-eating 3,700 calories in a single day, she chose a different path.
Instead of crash dieting, she focused on gradual, sustainable habits that would build up over time — and she says that change has transformed her life.
Christina said she is now 80lbs lighter and has kept the weight off through her new routine.
She explained: “The majority of my weight loss has been in the last 14 months with diet, exercise, calorie deficit, therapy, and working with my coach.”
In her after clips, Christina highlighted her progress, including the much leaner look of her legs.
She said: “Now my butt is still square but at least I have more shape and lift.
“My stomach is much flatter too.
“I’m not afraid to try new exercises. My face has drastically changed.
“When I go out for lunch I make better choices.”
She added that she still enjoys sweet foods, but now usually opts for almond butter on apple slices.
Many viewers were impressed by her transformation, and her clip has been watched 1.6 million times.
One person commented: “Yes girl. THIS IS THE INFLUENCER WE WANT.”
Another said: “I’m Mike Wasowski shaped too.”
A third wrote: “KILLING IT!!!! I’ve loved watching your process!”
How to lose weight safely
Losing weight should be a long-term commitment to healthier living rather than a drastic measure.
NHS advice that can be introduced gradually includes:
- Get active for 150 minutes a week – this can be split into shorter sessions
- Try to eat 5 A Day – 80g of fresh, canned or frozen fruit or vegetables counts as one portion
- Aim to lose 1 to 2lbs, or 0.5 to 1kg, a week
- Read food labels – products with more green colour coding than amber and red are often healthier choices
- Swap sugary drinks for water – if you do not like the taste, add slices of lemon or lime for flavour
- Cut down on foods high in sugar and fat – start by replacing sugary cereal with wholegrain alternatives
- Share your weight loss plan with someone you trust – they can help keep you motivated on difficult days
