Whole Foods Market, based in Texas, is part of a new dietary supplement recall after the products were found to have a possible salmonella contamination, which can cause serious illness in vulnerable people.
Vitality Works Inc., the company that makes supplements sold under the 365 Whole Foods Market brand, announced the recall of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules, 120 count, after routine testing identified possible salmonella contamination in one retail unit.
Customers who have the recalled product should not take it. They should throw it away and not bring it back to the store. Refunds are available at any Whole Foods Market location, according to the company.
The supplements were available in Whole Foods Market stores across the United States and on Amazon over the course of the product’s sale period. The recalled items can be identified by UPC 9948252099, lot number 2025-26227, and expiration date October 13, 2028. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.
