Social Security beneficiaries can now review when their monthly deposits are expected to arrive in November 2026. The exact date depends on the type of benefit and, for most people, the recipient’s date of birth.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) uses a standard payment calendar, although holiday shifts can change the usual schedule.

One example is November, when Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11. That means the first regular Wednesday payment group will receive its money one day earlier, on November 10.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will also get their November payment early. Because November 1 falls on a Sunday, the deposit is set for Friday, October 30.

That early deposit counts as the November payment, not an extra benefit or a change in the amount owed to recipients.

People who started receiving Social Security before May 1997, along with certain beneficiaries who collect both Social Security and SSI, generally follow a separate timetable. Their Social Security payment is due on Tuesday, November 3.

The November 2026 Social Security payment dates

For most retirement, survivor and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients, the payment date is based on the birth date of the worker whose earnings record is used for the benefit.

The SSA groups recipients into three categories, and payments usually arrive on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month.

Those born between the first and tenth of any month are scheduled to receive their November payment on Tuesday, November 10. The date is moved up because the usual second-Wednesday payment day is affected by the Veterans Day holiday.

Beneficiaries with birthdays from the 11th through the 20th can expect payment on Wednesday, November 18. Those born between the 21st and the end of the month are set to receive their deposits on Wednesday, November 25.

These dates apply to eligible recipients who follow the standard Wednesday schedule. People who qualify for one of the exceptions should check their specific payment category instead of relying only on their birthday.

As a result, the November schedule starts with the early SSI deposit on October 30, followed by the November 3 payment for the separate early-month Social Security group. The remaining deposits fall on November 10, 18 and 25.

Beneficiaries should also keep in mind that a payment arriving in late October may still be meant for November. SSI payments are usually issued on the first day of the month, but when that date lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the SSA generally sends the money on the previous business day.

The agency’s official 2026 payment calendar remains the best source for confirming an individual payment date.

If a deposit does not show up on the expected day, recipients should first contact their bank or other financial institution, since processing times can affect when funds appear in an account. If the payment is still missing after that, they can reach out to the Social Security Administration.

Understanding the schedule can help households plan for rent, groceries, utilities and other monthly bills. With the Veterans Day adjustment and the early SSI deposit, checking the correct payment group is especially important for November 2026.
