The Levy Senior Center is looking for dependable, compassionate volunteers to help older adults apply for the Illinois Benefit Access Program.
Those who volunteer will assist eligible seniors with applications that may help them receive:
- Free or discounted public transit ride cards
- License plate renewal stickers at half price
No previous experience is required, and training will be provided. A background check is necessary before volunteering begins.
The center offers flexible scheduling and will try to work around each volunteer’s availability. Opportunities are open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Anyone who is patient, friendly and interested in helping others is encouraged to join.
To get more information or sign up, contact the Levy Senior Center at 847-866-2919. Volunteers can play an important role in helping seniors access valuable benefits.
