People who receive Supplemental Security Income will get their November payment a few days ahead of schedule later this week. Most Social Security beneficiaries, by contrast, will be paid on the Social Security Administration’s normal monthly timetable.
SSI recipients are set to receive their benefits on Friday, Oct. 30, two days before the usual Nov. 1 payment date. Because the first day of the month falls on a Sunday, the payment will be sent early. It is not an additional benefit.
Here is what to know about Social Security and SSI payments for November 2026.
When will SSI recipients get their November 2026 payment?
SSI recipients will receive their November payment early, on Friday, Oct. 30, because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday, according to the Social Security Administration.
When the first day of the month lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the SSA typically sends SSI payments on the previous business day, according to its payment rules. That means November’s payment will arrive two days early.
Social Security payment dates for November 2026
People who receive regular Social Security benefits will get their November payment on one of the following dates, depending on their birth date and when they began receiving benefits:
Tuesday, Nov. 3: People who began receiving benefits before May 1997.
Tuesday, Nov. 10: People born between the first and 10th of any month. This payment arrives one day early because of Veterans Day, a federal holiday.
Wednesday, Nov. 18: People born between the 11th and 20th of any month.
Wednesday, Nov. 25: People born between the 21st and 31st of any month.

What is SSI?
Supplemental Security Income provides monthly payments to people who meet certain financial requirements and are:
Age 65 or older.
Blind.
Living with a qualifying disability.
SSI is separate from Social Security retirement benefits and is funded differently. Some people qualify for both programs.
Remaining SSI payment dates in 2026
According to the SSA’s 2026 payment schedule, the remaining SSI payment dates for 2026 are:
Tuesday, Dec. 1: December 2026 payment.
Thursday, Dec. 31: January 2027 payment.
How much will Social Security benefits increase in 2027?
The Social Security Administration announced in mid-October that beneficiaries will receive a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, in 2027. The adjustment is the largest in four years and the biggest since the 8.7% increase announced in 2022 for 2023, when inflation reached a 40-year high.
The increase will take effect with the January 2027 payment. It applies to Social Security retirement, survivor and disability benefits, as well as SSI payments. Annual COLAs are intended to help beneficiaries, most of whom are seniors, keep pace with inflation and maintain their purchasing power.
The amount of the increase will depend on each recipient's current monthly benefit. According to the SSA, the COLA will increase the average monthly retirement benefit by about $75, from approximately $2,095 to $2,170.
