The last round of Social Security payments for October is set to go out this week, and the November Supplemental Security Income payment is also being issued this week, earlier than normal.
Recipients in Florida can expect their final October payment on Oct. 28.
Then, on Friday, Oct. 30, SSI recipients will get their payments ahead of the usual monthly schedule, since those checks are normally distributed on the first day of each month.
The Social Security Administration pays retirement benefits to older workers, people with disabilities and survivors. SSI is also administered by the SSA and supports people with limited or no income or resources, those age 65 and older, and individuals who qualify because of a disability.
Why is SSI being paid early?
SSI checks are arriving sooner than usual because the standard payment date, the first of the month, falls on a Sunday. As a result, the payments are being sent on Friday, Oct. 30.
When will Social Security payments arrive in November?
When will the cost-of-living increase take effect?
SSI and Social Security recipients are set to receive a 3.6% boost in benefits in 2027.
SSI payments will rise starting Dec. 31, 2026, while Social Security benefits will reflect the change in January 2027, according to the Social Security Administration.
