The Social Security Administration has adjusted two payment dates for November.
The changes affect Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security benefits, which will be paid earlier than usual because of the calendar and a holiday schedule.
According to the agency, SSI payments will be sent out on Friday, Oct. 30, and beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive their payment on Tuesday, Nov. 10, instead of Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Here is the reason for the shift in schedules:
SSI payment moved up
Checks will arrive on Friday, Oct. 30 rather than on the regular date because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday.
Social Security payment date change
Social Security beneficiaries will get their checks a day early because Wednesday, Nov. 11 is a federal holiday, Veterans Day.
