ShopRite is offering another version of its Wellness Your Way Starter Kit, a free, limited-time resource intended to help customers who are starting GLP-1 medications for weight management. The kit is designed to provide practical nutrition advice and supermarket navigation tips, and shoppers filling their first GLP-1 prescription at a ShopRite Pharmacy can receive one at no cost while supplies last.
The updated kit builds on an earlier rollout and adds a more detailed Wellness Your Way nutrition guide. It walks customers through the store aisle by aisle, offering shopping suggestions, product ideas and brand features aimed at making healthier choices easier to fit into daily routines.
“As customers adjust their eating habits while beginning a GLP-1 medication, we want to make navigating the supermarket feel more manageable,” said Aaron Sapp, vice president of Pharmacy and Wellness for Wakefern Food Corp. “Our goal is to provide practical resources and support that help customers build new routines and make informed choices that work for their individual needs.”
Each kit includes the Wellness Your Way nutrition guide, developed with input from ShopRite’s registered dietitian, as well as samples from participating brand partners. The guide focuses on important nutrition topics such as protein, fiber, hydration and nutrient-dense foods, while the samples introduce shoppers to products from several brands. Featured brands include Ensure, Tums, Olly, G Hughes Zero Sugar, Mentos Gum, MiraLAX, Kraft, Bowl & Basket, Thomas’, GoGo squeeZ, Pure Protein and Eat Pecans from the American Pecan Promotion Board.
ShopRite said supermarket pharmacies are well positioned to connect pharmacy care with everyday nutrition, giving customers access to support that goes beyond a prescription. The Wellness Your Way Starter Kit is part of the company’s effort to provide practical tools for people managing their wellness goals.
The kits will be available for a limited time at all ShopRite Pharmacy locations, while supplies last.
