Retirees who qualify under the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) are scheduled to begin receiving regular monthly pension payments that reflect a cost-of-living adjustment.
According to PSERS, payments made for September were larger because they included the new monthly benefit amount tied to the cost-of-living adjustment, along with retroactive increases for July and August.
More than 30,000 eligible retirees will see the October payments reflect the ongoing monthly pension amount they will continue to receive.
