Digilifetrends Published 2 min read

Most people who receive Social Security retirement benefits will get their November 2026 payments on the Social Security Administration’s standard schedule, with exact payment dates based on birthdate and the date benefits first began.

Below is a guide to November Social Security payments, including when Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients should expect their money. Although SSI and Social Security are separate programs, roughly half of SSI recipients also collect Social Security benefits.

November 2026 Social Security Payments: What the Schedule Looks Like

Social Security payment dates for November 2026

The Social Security Administration has released its benefit payment calendar for 2026.

What is SSI?

Supplemental Security Income provides monthly payments to people who meet certain financial limits and are:

  • Age 65 or older.

  • Blind.

  • Living with a qualifying disability.

SSI is funded separately from Social Security retirement benefits. Some people qualify for both programs.

When do SSI recipients receive their November payment?

If the first day of a month lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the Social Security Administration usually sends SSI payments on the previous business day, according to SSA policy.

How much will Social Security benefits rise in 2027?

The Social Security Administration recently announced a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, for 2027. It is the largest increase in four years and the biggest since the 8.7% boost announced for 2023, after inflation hit a 40-year high.

The higher benefit amount will begin with the January 2027 payment. It applies to Social Security retirement, survivor and disability benefits, as well as SSI payments. Annual COLAs are meant to help beneficiaries, most of whom are seniors, keep up with inflation and preserve their buying power.

How much each person receives will depend on their current monthly benefit. According to the SSA, the COLA will raise the average monthly retirement benefit by about $75, from roughly $2,095 to $2,170.
