Maria Jennings is using her voice to warn parents and children about the risks tied to the opioid-like substance.

After losing her son Brayden Colson to a kratom addiction, Maria Jennings is now speaking publicly to alert parents and children to the dangers linked to the opioid-like substance.

Brayden was 23 and had struggled with kratom addiction for three years. Maria said his condition worsened after he started using a 7-OH product that had begun appearing in gas stations. She said that within 30 to 45 minutes of taking the product, the family found him dead on his bathroom floor.
