Missouri residents can now buy National Flood Insurance Program policies online through a new self-service tool introduced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
By going to floodsmart.gov/policy-quote and entering basic property details, users can get an instant quote and purchase coverage within minutes, or they can opt to share the information with a local insurance agent. FEMA currently provides nearly $3.5 billion in flood coverage for more than 14,000 policyholders in Missouri.
