Thousands of Alaska residents are keeping tabs on their Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) applications as another distribution date nears.

The payment for this cycle is set at $1,200 for each eligible resident, made up of a $1,000 dividend plus an extra $200 energy relief amount. Even so, the funds will not reach everyone at once.

The upcoming payment date is November 19, 2026. To be included in that round, an application must show the status “Eligible-Not Paid” by November 11.

Submitting an application is not enough on its own. The Alaska Department of Revenue must first verify that the applicant qualifies and authorize the payment.

People who have already received their 2026 dividend will not get an additional $1,200. The November distribution is reserved for eligible applicants who are still waiting.

How to check the status of an Alaska Permanent Fund application

The easiest way to find out whether you qualify for the November payment is to log in to the state’s official myPFD portal.

Residents can sign in to myPFD and review their application details. The key status to watch for is “Eligible-Not Paid,” which means the application has been approved but the money has not yet been sent out.

If that status is visible by November 11, the applicant should be part of the November 19 payment run.

Anyone whose application is still under review should keep checking for updates. If the required status has not been reached by the deadline, payment in November is not guaranteed.

It is also important to make sure personal information is current, especially mailing addresses. Those who have moved should update their information in the portal to avoid issues receiving a mailed payment.

Who is eligible for the $1,200 payment?

The dividend is not automatically available to every Alaska resident. Applicants must meet the state’s residency and other eligibility rules.

For this payment, residents generally must have lived in Alaska throughout 2025 and intend to remain there indefinitely. They must also satisfy rules on absences from the state and must not have claimed residency in another state during the relevant period.

Applicants who spent more than 180 days outside Alaska must have been away for an acceptable reason. They must also have been physically present in the state for at least 72 consecutive hours during 2024 or 2025.

Some criminal convictions and periods of incarceration can also affect eligibility.

Importantly, the application window for the 2026 dividend has already closed. The November distribution applies only to applications that were submitted and later approved.

What happens if you miss the November payment?

Residents who do not make the November round have another chance before the year ends.

The next scheduled distribution is December 17, 2026. To be included, applications must reach “Eligible-Not Paid” status by December 9.

For those still waiting, checking myPFD regularly remains the most reliable way to track progress and estimate when the money will arrive.

The $1,200 payment is an important annual benefit for eligible Alaskans, but the schedule depends on how quickly applications are processed.

Residents should use the official myPFD portal to review their individual status and contact the Alaska Department of Revenue for more information.
